Teflon Extruder – Wire & Cable Extrusion Machine
The Teflon Extruder Machine Production Line is engineered for high-temperature processing of specialized fluoropolymer materials, including ETFE, X-ETFE, Polyimide, PEED, FEP, PFA, and PVDF. Equipped with material-specific extrusion screws, this line ensures optimal compatibility and precision for diverse industrial applications.
Applications
Designed for manufacturing standard hook-up wires, automotive cables, aerospace components, medical devices, and industrial power cables. Fluoroplastic cables excel in environments requiring resistance to aggressive chemicals, high temperatures (exceeding 105°C), and demanding mechanical/electrical conditions, making them ideal for automated control systems, electric heating, and critical aerospace/automotive applications.
Insulation Process
Material Preparation: Granules of fluoroplastics (e.g., FEP, PVDF) are fed into the extruder, where they are heated to precise temperatures to achieve optimal viscosity.
Extrusion & Coating: The conductor (flexible stranded or solid core) passes through a crosshead die, applying a uniform insulation layer in the desired color.
Cooling & Solidification: The insulated wire is rapidly cooled in a water-filled trough to stabilize the material.
Quality Assurance: Integrated testing systems (spark testers, laser diameter controllers) detect defects in real time, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Inner & Outer Sheathing
Inner Sheathing: Applied prior to armoring (steel, copper, or aluminum wires) to provide a smooth surface and structural integrity. Utilizes high-capacity extrusion lines for thicker coatings.
Outer Sheathing: Directly applied to unarmored cables as a final protective layer, enhancing durability and environmental resistance.
